What We Teach

Technology does not have to be intimidating. Our Melbourne tech trainers specialise in breaking down complicated topics into simple, practical steps. We teach you how to do the things that actually matter to you — whether that is staying connected with family, managing your finances online, or feeling confident enough to troubleshoot basic issues yourself.

Every lesson is tailored to your skill level and interests. We start where you are, move at your speed, and write down the steps so you can refer back to them later.

  • One-on-one tech lessons — personalised sessions at your home covering whatever topics matter most to you
  • Email and internet basics — sending emails, browsing safely, managing your inbox, and understanding attachments
  • Smartphone and tablet training — iPhone, iPad, Samsung, and Android devices demystified step by step
  • Video calling — Zoom, FaceTime, Google Meet, and WhatsApp video calls set up and practised until you are confident
  • Online safety and scam awareness — how to spot phishing emails, fake websites, and phone scams targeting Australians
  • Office software training — Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, and basic document creation
  • Group training sessions — small-group lessons for community centres, retirement villages, or groups of friends

What Melbourne Clients Learn Most

These are the most common lessons our clients book. Each session is customised to what you want to achieve.

Smartphone Basics

Learn how to use your iPhone or Android phone confidently — making calls, sending texts, taking photos, installing apps, and managing your settings.

Video Calling

Set up and learn Zoom, FaceTime, Google Meet, or WhatsApp video. We practise with you until you are confident calling family and friends anywhere in the world.

Email & Internet

Sending emails, adding attachments, organising your inbox, browsing the web safely, and understanding the difference between good links and suspicious ones.

Online Safety

How to spot scam emails, fake websites, and dodgy phone calls. We teach you the red flags so you can protect yourself from the scams targeting Australians every day.

Tech Training FAQs

I am a complete beginner — is that okay?

Absolutely. Many of our clients have never used a computer or smartphone before, and that is perfectly fine. We start from the very basics — how to turn it on, how to use the touchscreen, what apps are — and build from there at whatever pace feels comfortable for you. No prior experience needed at all.

How long is a typical lesson?

Most lessons run for about one to two hours. We find this is enough time to cover a topic thoroughly without becoming overwhelming. Some clients prefer shorter 45-minute sessions, especially when starting out. We are flexible — the lesson length is entirely up to you, and we never rush through material.

Can you teach a group at a community centre or retirement village?

Yes, we offer group training sessions for community centres, retirement villages, clubs, and groups of friends across Melbourne. Group sessions are a cost-effective way to learn together, and many participants find it helpful to learn alongside peers who are at a similar level. We bring all the materials and tailor the session to the group's interests.

What if I forget what you taught me?

That is completely normal and expected. We leave you with written step-by-step notes after every session so you can refer back to them whenever you need to. Many clients keep the notes next to their computer or phone. And if you do get stuck between sessions, you can call us on 03 7057 2770 for a quick reminder — we are happy to help.
